Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in earthworks and utilities. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in earthwork take-offs and utility take-offs, with proficiency in AGtek, HCSS, or Excel. Experience with manual take-offs is also acceptable. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate project estimates and contributing to the successful execution of projects valued at $5 million or more.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform detailed earthwork and utility take-offs for subdivision and commercial site projects.
Utilize AGtek, HCSS, or Excel for accurate and efficient take-offs.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop comprehensive project estimates.
Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
Prepare and present detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.
Monitor project costs and provide updates to ensure projects stay within budget.
Assist in the preparation of project schedules and timelines.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in earthwork and utility take-offs.
Proficiency in AGtek, HCSS, or Excel; experience with manual take-offs is acceptable.
Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
