Job Position Description:
We are a fast-paced newsroom emphasizing investigative reporting, breaking news, and weather coverage. If you like to win and have the drive to find ways to make your news coverage stand out, this is the newsroom for you! The successful candidate will be able to identify the "big story" of the day and understand what makes an impactful newscast with a focus on strong writing and showcasing skills. This position will focus on producing live TV newscasts. However, this position will be trained on creating news content for digital platforms and may be expected to carry out these responsibilities as needed.
A degree in journalism, mass communications or equivalent experience is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure and handle stress are necessary. Must be a good team leader, proficient in multi-tasking and have a flexible schedule. Broadcast news producing and/or digital writing experience is preferred.

Annual Salary Range:
$41,000 to $43,000; based on experience. Non-Exempt.
