Our client is a leading construction firm in South Florida and they are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team and support their growth and operational efficiency.
The Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to senior management. This role will involve managing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance with regulatory requirements, all while supporting the unique financial needs of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain financial models to support project evaluations and strategic initiatives.
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management to support decision-making.
Oversee cash flow management and optimize working capital, ensuring adequate funding for ongoing projects.
Collaborate with project managers to analyze project costs, profitability, and financial performance.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards relevant to the construction industry.
Lead and mentor a finance team, fostering professional development and enhancing team performance.
Liaise with external auditors and financial institutions as needed.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial operations and reporting.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
6+ years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role, preferably within the construction industry.
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Experience with construction-specific financial management software.
Knowledge of financial regulations and accounting standards specific to the construction industry.
Proven track record of leading teams and driving process improvements.
