Our client requires a Project Engineer to Lead a cross-functional project team through Project Execution Process (PEP) with overall responsibility and authority for project performance throughout the project life cycle. This is an Automation Integrator, so the position will require experience with Industrial Automation.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall leadership of the project including managing scope, change, schedule, cost, quality, open issues, risks, resources, and overall project communications. Builds relationships with key customer contacts and acts as primary point of communication to the customer for assigned projects.
This will require acceptance and sharing of best practices and lessons learned, continuously improving the Project Execution Process (PEP). In-depth understanding of the financial details and budget of each assigned project. Proactive decision analysis capabilities: taking into consideration size, complexity, visible and unknown risks, timelines, etc.
Coordinates and monitors project documentation, timelines, technical performance, budget, production, quality deliverables, and corrective action initiatives. Supports and adheres to policies, procedures, and operational guidelines related to the established quality management system.
Education/Experience
Bachelor's degree OR 5+ years' experience in project management. PMP highly preferred.
Project management experience in an Automation setting
Engineering Degree preferred. Industry knowledge/experience can substitute for education
Experience in direct customer commercial management and cross-functional team leadership
Moderately advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and MS Project.
