Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their dynamic team in Akron, Ohio. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on critical high-voltage transmission projects, contributing to the growth of energy infrastructure across the U.S.
Position Overview:
As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the project management team in overseeing the planning, design, and execution of high-voltage transmission engineering projects. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in managing all phases of high-voltage transmission projects, from conception through to completion.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, procurement, and construction.
Monitor project progress and performance, ensuring that timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
Support the preparation and management of project schedules, budgets, and reports.
Assist in coordinating communications between clients, contractors, and internal teams.
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Assist in preparing and presenting project updates to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering.
4-8 years of relevant experience in the high-voltage transmission engineering sector.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
PMP certification (preferred but not required).
