Note, requires three days per week in-office in Brooklyn, Ohio.

Project Management Director responsible for leading the Project Management Office (PMO). Defines and develops project management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Partners with Vice President of Project Management, multi-departmental leadership, and other stakeholders to locate opportunities and develop and prioritize projects according to relevant management criteria. Gathers and reports consolidated project status and financial information to leadership. Leads a team of project management experts who execute on assigned projects. Demonstrates a thorough understanding of project management methodologies, as well as the ability to execute and interact with business partners and cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Supports Vice President of Project Management across organizational strategic priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Defines and develops project/program management best practices, processes, and policy to ensure alignment with corporate strategy and goals. Defines and consults on measurement strategies, tools, scorecards, and surveys across organization.
  • Monitor and report on various projects to keep stakeholders informed of the progress.
  • Develop executive level briefing material and associated analytics to guide and steer decision making.
  • Interview, hire, coach, train and develop staff. This includes, but not limited to, employee development, staff evaluations, and performance management of assigned staff.
  • Leads initiatives to partner with internal teams to plan, scope, and manage for highest quality client experience and results; monitor all project processes and operations for time and resource efficiencies, cost management, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Builds strong working relationships across organizations and geographies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a business field, and MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in project management, including five years of progressive leadership experience preferred.
  • 5 years of health insurance industry experience preferred.

Professional Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or related certification preferred.

Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and software to drive consistency in project management throughout the organization.
  • Successful experience standing up a PMO.
  • Strong organizational skills and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaborator and leader.
