Position Summary:
The Procurement and Inventory Management of Raw Materials and Purchased Finished Goods.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide support for the new product development and enhancement of cost modeling tools to support strategic buying efforts
Provide support for the annual Global Purchasing Strategic plan
Participate with other division's buyers in consortium global buys in groups to explore synergies that may exist to key suppliers
Engage in Purchase / QA/ R&D / Manufacturing efforts to troubleshoot problems that threaten a quality product supply
To personally source, negotiate and procure all raw materials and purchased finished goods.
Establish goals and objective, to monitor the performance of these commodities where cost reductions and supplier performance are concerned
Monitor raw material and purchased finished good inventories to achieve inventory turn target
Resolve material complaints and supplier returns
Track cost reduction programs to monitor the trendof Actual vs Planned savings
Education
Bachelor required. Master preferable
Knowledge/Experience
Minimum 5 years in a regulated industry. International experience is a plus.
