Position Summary:
We are looking for a **Buyer** to join our team and take charge of purchasing raw materials within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree and possess a strong background in procurement, with a keen understanding of supply chain dynamics.
Position Responsibilities:
- Identify and source raw materials needed for production, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and conditions.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast material needs to avoid production disruptions.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality assurance, to ensure material specifications are met.
- Process purchase orders and maintain accurate records of procurement activities.
- Assist in evaluating new suppliers and conducting regular supplier assessments.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to purchasing and inventory management.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in purchasing raw materials within a manufacturing setting.
- Strong negotiation skills and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
