We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Health Services Administrator (HSA) to lead our healthcare team at a correctional facility in Newark, NJ. This is a full-time role with a salary range of $115,000 to $160,000, dependent on experience, and offers the opportunity to significantly impact the quality of healthcare services provided.
Role Overview: As the HSA, you will oversee all day-to-day activities of the health services unit, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained according to NCCHC, ACA, and other relevant guidelines. You will supervise a team of around 20 direct reports, providing leadership and support to ensure that both clinical and administrative operations run smoothly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the delivery of contracted healthcare services and personnel supervision at the assigned facility.
Collaborate closely with the Site Medical Director and institutional authorities to optimize healthcare services.
Coordinate recruitment and staffing schedules, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Develop and implement site-specific quality improvement programs.
Oversee financial performance, ensuring cost-effective management without compromising the quality of care.
Qualifications:
BSN required, with preference for candidates holding a Master's degree (MHA, MBA).
Current, unrestricted RN license in NJ.
Minimum of three years of management or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
Correctional healthcare experience is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and leadership experience are essential.
