Terms of Employment:
  • W2, Contract-to-Hire, 6 Months
  • This position is 100% remote; however, candidates must reside in the DMV area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) or West Virginia. The team occasionally holds corporate events in Reston, VA, and team events either in D.C. or Reston, which are determined by the team. Therefore, proximity to these locations is essential for participation in these in-person gatherings.

Overview:

Our client is seeking a Senior Software Process Analyst to join their team. This role primarily focuses on process governance, assessment, and quality assurance, ensuring that the organization adheres to enterprise policies, practices, and processes. The ideal candidate will come from a background in healthcare, banking, or finance and have experience with the Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and Product Management Life Cycle (PMLC) to provide audits, training, and governance oversight. While direct software testing isn't required, an understanding of the process and compliance aspects is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform process governance assessments, ensuring compliance with the organization's policies and practices.
  • Review and audit Project Management processes, with a focus on risk management and process improvement.
  • Provide training on business-critical processes related to SDLC, Agile, and Product Management Life Cycle.
  • Evaluate and track audit findings, report non-compliance issues, and initiate corrective action.
  • Conduct quality assessments on software life cycles, ensuring alignment with organizational standards.
  • Analyze and ensure compliance with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and project audit standards.
  • Collaborate with internal audit teams and management to address audit issues and meet deadlines.
  • Assist with governance-related change management, including understanding compliance for process changes.
  • Manage and maintain the Process Access Library, ensuring that all policies are properly stored and easily accessible.
  • Provide input to Quality Gates to ensure all stakeholders align with enterprise-level problem-solving efforts.
  • Utilize metrics and data analytics for auditing and governance purposes, contributing to process optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Architecture Review Board on process audits, ensuring process integrity without making decisions.

Lead training sessions on process governance and quality improvement topics across the organization.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in the Project Management Life Cycle or Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Proven experience with process governance, assessments, and audits in medium to large-scale enterprises.
  • Knowledge of Product Management Life Cycle and experience working within Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
  • Experience auditing project management processes, including risk management, sprint reviews, and change management.
  • Hands-on technical expertise to ensure compliance with SDLC and other enterprise-level processes.
  • Ability to track, document, and report on process governance, compliance, and audit results.
  • Experience with auditing tools and quality management systems.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, able to deliver training on key areas of governance and quality improvement.
  • Knowledge of metrics analytics, governance processes, and change management systems is a plus.

Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • Experience with enterprise-wide governance and compliance auditing.
  • Understanding of Product Management Life Cycle and SDLC processes, with knowledge of sprint audits and quality gates.
  • Familiarity with Architecture Review Boards or similar governance bodies.
