As a Senior Accountant in our Client Accounting Services department, you'll build upon your accounting expertise to oversee high-level clients across a variety of industries. You'll have your own clients to manage and will ensure tasks are completed by the right people, at the right time, with the right information. Your appreciation for the leadership role will keep things moving while providing premium service to your clients and your colleagues.
To truly thrive, you'll also work as part of the team to collaborate and brainstorm on projects to ensure everyone is successful in their role. Your knowledge in accounting concepts and procedures from previous experience in the accounting field will add value to the team. Most important, you'll keep the clients' wants and needs as top priority to become their trusted advisor.
What you will be doing:
Manages and oversees daily operations:
Accounts payable/receivable
Cash receipts
General ledger
Payroll processing
Account reconciliations
Payroll sales & mill tax
Fixed asset activity
Plan, assign, and review client projects
Provide input into department and staff goal setting
Develop and document business processes and policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Support month-end and year-end close processes, general ledger functions, and posting adjusting journal entries
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiencies
What you bring:
CPA or CMA preferred but not required
2+ years in accounting; public accounting preferred
B.A./B.S. in Accounting or equivalent or higher
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures
Direct & professional communication skills
Experience with accounting software and technology; Accounting CAS and QuickBooks (Desktop & Online) preferred
