Job Description:

As Procurement Buyer, you will be a key member of the Finance team. You will work on various projects including:
  • Review and process purchase requisitions to ensure that they meet the organizations compliance requirements which include proper documentation, currency and payment terms
  • Evaluate supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements while internally promoting the established organizational policies and procedures for vendor engagement
  • Confirm that modifications and changes to existing orders are properly documented and processed
  • Develop and promote strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Assist with obtaining and analyzing proposals or quotations for consumables, equipment and services for stakeholders
  • Partner with internal customers when needed to expedite purchase requisitions while expediting purchase orders when required
  • Properly escalate any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies or contract matters for internal review and remediation
  • Support internal stakeholders with invoice resolution matters and purchase order creation
  • Evaluate and test system enhancements for new or existing company platforms while partnering in the implementation, roll-out and training to ensure success
  • Generating reports to monitor purchasing activity by category, goods receipts and vendor spend
  • Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products

What you will bring to the table:
  • Bachelor's degree, major in Finance or a related subject.
  • 3+ years experience within the field and a similar position is required. Experience with Laboratory Consumables, Capital Equipment, IT and Travel Categories preferred.
