As Procurement Buyer, you will be a key member of the Finance team. You will work on various projects including:
Review and process purchase requisitions to ensure that they meet the organizations compliance requirements which include proper documentation, currency and payment terms
Evaluate supplier contracts to ensure compliance with legal requirements while internally promoting the established organizational policies and procedures for vendor engagement
Confirm that modifications and changes to existing orders are properly documented and processed
Develop and promote strong working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Assist with obtaining and analyzing proposals or quotations for consumables, equipment and services for stakeholders
Partner with internal customers when needed to expedite purchase requisitions while expediting purchase orders when required
Properly escalate any known supply chain disruptions, order discrepancies or contract matters for internal review and remediation
Support internal stakeholders with invoice resolution matters and purchase order creation
Evaluate and test system enhancements for new or existing company platforms while partnering in the implementation, roll-out and training to ensure success
Generating reports to monitor purchasing activity by category, goods receipts and vendor spend
Working within the management team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products
What you will bring to the table:
Bachelor's degree, major in Finance or a related subject.
3+ years experience within the field and a similar position is required. Experience with Laboratory Consumables, Capital Equipment, IT and Travel Categories preferred.
