Faculty Openings in Pure Mathematics at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio

Job Description:

The Department of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Statistics at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU) is searching for at least one (1) tenure-track assistant professor in pure mathematics, and at least two (2) visiting assistant professors in pure mathematics, to begin in Fall 2025. These positions are open to candidates in all areas of pure mathematics, but preference will be given to candidates whose research is closely related to that of current faculty in the department. Visiting assistant professor positions are renewable for up to three years.

Visiting assistant professors are expected to teach a variety of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level, and to engage in active research. In addition to these activities, tenure-track faculty are also expected to advise graduate students and contribute to the department through service.

Qualifications:

All candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a related field by the time of the appointment, have demonstrated teaching/mentoring experience, and have a publication record appropriate to rank.
