The Customs Analyst role involves providing technical and analytical support for customs and trade compliance matters at the site/division level. This position ensures compliance with U.S. customs regulations and trade laws, including 19 CFR, 15 CFR, and regulations from agencies like the FDA and USDA.
Duties:
Applies working knowledge of import/export regulations and requirements to support business needs.
Consolidate and analyze import/export data to identify risks or opportunities for savings.
Prepare reports and make recommendations to management, as appropriate.
Interface with related functional areas (logistics, purchasing, materials management, etc.) on customs matters.
Provide analytical support, as needed, for reporting price adjustments, royalties, etc. via the CBP Reconciliation Prototype Program.
Conduct effective and timely transactional review/audit of all import/export records. Elevate issues requiring correction.
Qualifications:
Experience: 2-3 years in customs or trade compliance, with solid analytical skills and attention to detail.
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred, particularly in business, logistics, or a related field.
Skills: Strong communication (oral and written), ability to manage multiple priorities, and proficiency in identifying risks or areas of opportunity.
