Job Description:
The company is seeking a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in recipe authoring and system configuration to assist in the implementation of a standard Manufacturing Execution System (MES) platform. The goal of this project is to harmonize business processes across multiple sites and reduce the total cost of ownership by transitioning to a new MES platform that aligns with the company's network standard.
Responsibilities:
Develop expertise in the company's standard MES platform and lead the setup of master data, including materials, equipment, units of measure, and security configurations.
Gain proficiency in platform interfaces such as warehouse management (eWM module of SAP), SAP manufacturing, MuleSoft middleware, and automation systems (e.g., DeltaV, PI) through standard technologies (e.g., OPC).
Design and prototype MES recipes and functionalities, including material scans, consumption, data tracking, calculations, and external system communication.
Work with manufacturing and quality personnel to demonstrate and refine recipe prototypes.
Collaborate with the project team to create recipe and workflow requirement specifications, and formal design specifications for system master data configuration.
Develop, finalize, and implement recipes and workflows to support production activities within the MES platform.
Participate in validation activities, including test script reviews, dry runs, and formal executions to meet project timelines.
Provide project cutover solutions and support system cutover activities, including deployment of manufacturing hardware like printers and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
Acquire and share insights on batch record structures, exception handling, and core practices for recipe documentation and validation with the broader project team and site personnel.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Must-Have Skills:
Strong expertise in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and recipe authoring.
Experience with SAP eWM, SAP manufacturing, and middleware such as MuleSoft.
Familiarity with automation systems like DeltaV and PI using standard communication technologies (OPC).
Proficiency in developing and implementing MES recipes and workflows.
Experience in system setup/configuration, master data management, and batch record structures.
Excellent understanding of validation processes and project cutover planning.
