SkyBridge Luxury & Associates has partnered with an ultra-luxury hotel set to open in Los Angeles, seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Food & Beverage to lead the creation and execution of the property's entire F&B program. This role will be responsible for overseeing the concept development, pre-opening, and daily operations of all dining outlets, bars, banqueting, and room service. The Director will work closely with the culinary team and General Manager to ensure that the food and beverage experience reflects the hotel's luxury standards while driving guest satisfaction and revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Opening Food & Beverage Strategy:
Develop and implement the overall F&B concept and strategy for the hotel, ensuring alignment with the luxury brand. Collaborate with the culinary team to design menus and beverage offerings that reflect current trends and guest preferences.
F&B Outlet Management:
Oversee the management of all F&B outlets, including restaurants, bars, banquets, in-room dining, and event spaces. Ensure that each outlet delivers exceptional service and a memorable dining experience.
Team Building & Leadership:
Recruit, train, and lead the F&B team, including restaurant managers, banquet staff, bartenders, and servers. Foster a culture of service excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Revenue Generation:
Create and implement strategies to drive revenue across all F&B outlets, including menu engineering, promotions, special events, and upselling initiatives. Work closely with the Sales & Marketing team to attract and retain high-end clientele and events.
Operational Excellence:
Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the F&B department, maintaining the highest standards of quality, service, and cleanliness. Monitor guest satisfaction, resolve complaints, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
Manage F&B budgets, including food and beverage costs, labor costs, and operational expenses. Ensure that financial targets are met or exceeded, with a focus on profitability and cost control.
Vendor & Supplier Relations:
Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and local purveyors to source the highest-quality ingredients and products. Negotiate contracts and monitor inventory levels to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Banquet & Event Management:
Oversee the planning and execution of banquets, weddings, corporate events, and other special occasions. Ensure that all events are executed flawlessly, with attention to detail and guest preferences.
Innovation & Concept Development:
Continuously evaluate the F&B offerings and stay ahead of industry trends. Introduce new concepts, menu items, and dining experiences that keep the hotel's F&B program fresh and exciting.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Director of Food & Beverage in a luxury hotel or resort setting.
Strong background in pre-opening F&B operations, including concept development, staffing, and vendor negotiations.
Extensive knowledge of food and beverage trends, fine dining, and beverage pairings.
Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team.
Expertise in budgeting, cost control, and financial management of F&B operations.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment with multiple outlets.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
Experience in luxury hotel pre-opening F&B operations.
Familiarity with the Los Angeles luxury dining market.
