Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to join their team in Downtown Los Angeles. In this role, you will play a key role supporting complex financial modeling, analysis, and reporting for various business units across the enterprise. You will leverage your expertise in Excel and its advanced functions to build and maintain robust financial models, conduct thorough ad-hoc analyses, and deliver insightful financial data visualizations.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand their financial needs and translate them into actionable financial models and analyses.
  • Build and maintain complex financial models in Excel, utilizing advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, PivotTables, and macros.
  • Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analysis on a variety of financial data.
  • Identify and analyze financial trends and variances, providing insights and recommendations to support informed business decisions.
  • Prepare insightful financial reports and presentations, effectively communicating complex financial information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Stay up-to-date on relevant accounting standards and financial reporting regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of financial processes and tools.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, ideally within a fast paced environment
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like VLOOKUP, INDEX MATCH, PivotTables, and macro creation (required).
  • Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Experience with financial data analysis and interpretation (required).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
