Our client, a rapidly growing startup property management firm, is seeking an exceptional visionary and experienced leader who has an entrepreneurial spirit to fill the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
Location: West Los Angeles or San Fernando Valley
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy to scale operations and expand the portfolio
Build and lead a high-performing team of 20+ professionals across accounting, finance, property management, and maintenance
Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting, working alongside a CFO and accounting team
Implement effective client acquisition strategies to attract new property owners
Ensure efficient day-to-day operations, including property maintenance and tenant relations
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and technological advancements
Identify and mitigate potential risks in legal, financial, and operational areas
Qualifications
15+ years of experience in the property management industry, with a proven track record as a CEO or senior executive in scaling businesses to manage over 2,000 units
Strong leadership skills and ability to build and manage a team of 20+ people
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Deep understanding of property management operations, including leasing, maintenance, and financial management
Strong financial acumen and analytical skills
Entrepreneurial spirit and passion for innovation
Proficiency with Appfolio property management software (required)
Established industry relationships that can be leveraged for recruiting efforts
Additional Information
Reporting to a board of three property owners
Flexible work location between West LA and Valley offices, with an emphasis on visiting properties regularly
