Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: As the Marketing Manager, you will be an integral part in further growing Joia Beach vision and strategy. You will work hand in hand with the General Manager and Director of Food and Beverage Operations to develop annual marketing strategies and plans from ideation to execution. The Marketing Manager will possess in-depth knowledge and passion for hospitality and marketing, coupled with a creative mindset and strong leadership skills. The Marketing Manager also acts as a Joia Beach brand ambassador and is responsible for maintaining brand standards across all departments while working well under pressure, flexibility, and meeting deadlines. This role is responsible for executing all the marketing activities for the location with the help of the operations team.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Creation and monitoring of annual marketing budgets to meet targets and objectives.
  • Creation of annual Marketing Plan based on Joia Beach operations vision and strategy which will be your roadmap each season.
  • Creation and execution of the venue operations & marketing vision and strategy plan in conjunction with the General Manager and the Director of Food and Beverage
  • Create marketing strategy internal guidelines: social media, graphic design processes, music and entertainment guidelines and public relations processes.
  • Participate and contribute in weekly PR and social media calls and assist in the strategic development and implementation of influencer marketing and public relations strategies. That will include leading the creation of location press kits, supporting regional press outreach, liaising with the Global PR agency as needed, and hosting regional and international press and influencers under the supervision of the Director of Food and Beverage
  • Create and deliver the digital media approach and strategy for the location, specifically for the creation of content, advertising strategy, and new campaign proposals.
  • Create and curate initiatives across a range of media (video and web pre-roll, print, digital, etc.)
  • With support from your Operations team: plan and implement various marketing activations, special events, activations and partnerships such as pop-ups and fashion shows.
  • Promote awareness for Joia Beach internally and externally. Identify potential marketing opportunities such as digital advertising outlets, collaborations, material distribution strategies, and social media trends
  • Keep up to date with your local market happenings and new openings, emerging trends, and competitors.
  • Develop and source marketing and event-related materials as well as liaise with suppliers and internal departments for payments and delivery.
  • Support in hiring entertainment/talent including assisting with legal and accounting procedures for hiring entertainment, trials for new entertainers and the scheduling of entertainment for events.
  • Support the team by overseeing and organizing all administrative functions including marketing budget tracing, invoicing, the new supplier registration process, etc.
  • Ensure the organization and maintenance of our digital photo library and fulfill requests for images, logos, etc.
  • Support in maintaining relationships with local concierge companies and luxury hotels, luxury condos, boutiques, businesses, and offices so they have up-to-date information about Joia Beach's operating hours, upcoming events and promotions.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure the property is set up to brand standards each day. Each area will require attention to detail. Always look for ways to improve the guest experience and areas that might need some more love and attention to detail.
  • Work with the operations team to maintain relationships with guests by ensuring their experience is positive and memorable. Participate in creating and implementing guest-centric special moments for events such as birthdays and special celebrations.
  • Ensure the flow of information within the team; remember your best ambassadors are your front of house team who have daily contact with clients. It is essential that you share information about marketing actions, strategies, upcoming events and entertainment with them so they can promote and support your strategy with the guests.

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT

- Manage the content and editorial calendar for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube and LinkedIn.

- Craft, produce and/or manage all posts across channels, including capturing content in-person, visual content curation or creation as necessary, and generating or adapting copy.

- Collaborate with Creative Director on larger communications strategies and budgets as they relate to social media and content communications.

LICENSE/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or similar and/ or 4-6 years of experience with a proven track record of owning & executing marketing calendar working with highly cross-functional team
• Experience in Restaurant, Retail, or other consumer-facing, service-based/distributed workforce environments preferred.
• Experience working with 3rd party delivery brands & marketing through their channels is a plus.
• Digital and e-commerce experience required.
