We at H&P Executive Search are partnered with a leading investment firm with approximately $1.5 billion in assets under management (AUM), specializing in growth debt. The fund engages in both sponsored and non-sponsored transactions, focusing on the lower-middle market. Currently, they are in the process of raising our fifth fund, which is expected to be around $500 million. They are seeking a Private Credit Associate to join their team either immediately or in the summer of 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of debt and equity investments, with a focus on growth debt, unitranche, and subordinated debt transactions.
Support the due diligence process for potential investments, including financial analysis, modeling, and market research.
Collaborate with senior team members to develop investment strategies and identify attractive investment opportunities in the lower-middle market.
Participate in the monitoring and management of the existing investment portfolio.
Contribute to fundraising efforts, investor relations, and reporting for the ongoing fifth fund.
Work on both sponsored and non-sponsored transactions, gaining exposure to a diverse range of deal types.
Qualifications:
1-3 years on the buy-side or sell-side (investment banking, private equity, debt capital markets, or related fields).
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
A demonstrated interest in debt and equity investments, particularly within the lower-middle market.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, having graduated between 2021-2023.
