Position Overview
The Sales Estimator/Project Engineer will assist FSI's Tile Division in acquiring and managing new contracts, helping our clients deliver successful projects to the end user. This is a hybrid and potentially fully remote position, depending on the applicant's experience and qualifications.
Overall Responsibilities
Manage bid invitations and create estimates
Assist with sales and client relationships
Manage project materials and specifications
Manage project pre-construction schedule
Tasks and Main Goals
Receive and organize bid documents and project information
Review bid details, plans, and specifications
Takeoff of areas and materials needed for a complete scope of work
Request material quotes from suppliers
Send proposals and other required bid documents to clients
Follow-up on bids and offer assistance and alternatives to better serve our clients
Review and submit project documentation for client approval
Request project clarifications from clients
Review and organize submittal approvals
Track pre-construction schedules
Prepare material purchase orders and track project materials
Assist the Tile Division team with other project related tasks
Desired Qualifications
Minimum two years of experience with commercial tile projects
Strong organizational and communication skills
Technical knowledge of the tile industry
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
