Position Overview: The Superintendent is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, including overseeing and implementing petroleum, automotive, and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background and expertise in these areas in order to effectively manage and successfully complete projects.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, organize and coordinate construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Manage and supervise a team of construction workers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
Review project plans, specifications, and other related documents to ensure all work is performed in accordance with established standards and requirements.
Develop and maintain construction schedules and communicate progress to project stakeholders.
Oversee the procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies necessary for construction projects.- Monitor project budgets and expenses, and make adjustments as needed to ensure profitability.
Resolve any construction-related issues, conflicts, or delays that may arise during the project lifecycle.
Maintain detailed project records and generate progress reports for management and clients.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in utility construction, petroleum construction, gas station construction, and commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.- Prior experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
