Job Description:

As a Mudlogger with Terra Guidance, you'll fully engage in fieldwork and reside at remote job sites for extended durations. Your role is vital in providing the client with accurate geological and drilling data. This includes gathering and describing rock cuttings at designated depth intervals, monitoring gas while drilling, creating a comprehensive "mudlog" incorporating rock cuttings, gas data, and drilling information. Additionally, you'll submit daily reports to the client and communicate daily events effectively to the Operations Geologist.

To succeed in this position, it's crucial to prioritize mindfulness, proficiency, and humility. As a representative of Terra Guidance, you are expected to uphold the company's core values in all your endeavors. You should be adept at resolving issues, remaining proactive on-site during downtime, and supporting other operational tasks as directed by your supervisor.

You must possess exceptional attention to detail, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with colleagues and management. Furthermore, it's crucial to maintain a customer-focused and service-oriented mindset, showcasing a readiness to consistently exceed expectations in delivering outstanding service.

Adherence to Terra Guidance Employment and Health and Safety standards is vital, and strict compliance with Terra Guidance Quality Control practices and Standard Operating Procedures for all deliverables is essential.

To be eligible for this position, you need a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Geology, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record. Additionally, you should have the ability to lift 50 pounds, safely navigate up and down two flights of stairs multiple times per hour while carrying samples and equipment and be prepared to work 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

B.S. or B.A. or higher degree in Geology

1+ years of mudlogging experience. DJ, PRB, Williston Basin experience a plus

Able to lift 50 lbs., safely navigate up and down two flights of stairs multiple times per hour while carrying samples and equipment.

Possess a dependable vehicle capable of navigating through all weather conditions and dirt roads.

Willing to travel up to 600 miles from home and live on a drilling location for extended periods of time.

Willing to work 12-hour shifts, dayshift, and nightshift.

Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Proficient in problem-solving.

Have a clean driving record.

Willing to adhere to our Drug and Alcohol Policy

Proficient in computer usage, including, but not limited to, the Microsoft Office Suite.
