JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Coordinates the financial closing for all NA entities, including oversight of all journal entries and preparation of financial statements in accordance with the month end closing checklist.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the divisional financial statements including period end analysis and explanations for unusual transactions.
  • Coordinates the preparation of the annual budget across the various NA business units.
  • Works closely with the Plant Controllers and Operations leadership across the NA businesses to develop standard reporting through KPIs and frequent analysis of deviations from expected results.
  • Coordinates periodic forecasting of the NA business units during the year.
  • Responsible for all account reconciliations and accruals other than Inventory which is accounted for at the U.S. Plant level; coordinates year-end audit with external auditors and manages across all NA businesses.
  • Coordinates year-end tax return preparation with third party tax consultants.
  • Partners with the Corporate Controller, Plant Controllers, and Plant Managers at each NA location regarding costing and operational analysis to facilitate process improvement, KPI monitoring, and cost savings.
  • Maintains and documents accounting and operational policies and procedures as it relates to company assets and liabilities. Manages/owns the NA centralized fixed asset system along with the periodic reporting and analysis that is required.
  • Creates, upgrades, and furnishes internal management financial reports on a timely, accurate, relevant and efficient basis.
  • Significant contributor and leader in the implementation, upgrade or improvements made to NA ERP systems and processes to improve information, reporting and profitability.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, or a related Business field with a concentration in Accounting
  • CPA a plus but not required.
  • Two years of experience in the field of accounting or related experience, with experience in a manufacturing setting highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of progressive financial management support experience and professional integrity, with an ability to responsibly handle confidential business information.
  • Excellent computer software skills including Microsoft Office products, especially Microsoft Excel, with advanced Excel capabilities a plus.
  • Working experience with a manufacturing ERP system and a financial consolidations system is highly preferred.
  • Ability to deep dive into IT systems for root transaction data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Critical thinker who can work independently, with strong problem-solving and project management skills and is comfortable with ambiguity and will proactively seek answers through research and questions.
  • Ability to communicate and coordinate with broad cross-functional team
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse work group at all levels of the organization and across countries. Spanish speaking skills will be a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to travel minimally on an ad-hoc basis
