Job Description:

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department at Portland State University (PSU) seeks outstanding candidates for a Non-Tenure Track Faculty (NTTF)Assistant Professor of PracticeinEmbedded Systems.

This teaching position focuses teaching in both undergraduate and graduate courses in a broad range ofECEtopics with a focus on embedded systems. This 1.0FTE9-month teaching appointment will typically be responsible for teaching two 4-credit courses each quarter, fall, winter and spring. Additional responsibilities include service to the department, college, or university, and supervision of up to two capstone teams per year. This role requires the incumbent to be able to teach in person in downtown Portland and Hillsboro during weekdays and evenings. This position is focused on instructional responsibilities but may include supporting scholarly activities and service to the community and profession.

Minimum qualifications:

• Master of Science Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Experience teaching at least three courses in higher education or 3 years of related industry experience.
