What You Will Be Doing
Develop and implement strategic operational plans to meet production goals
Enhance operational efficiency and product quality through continuous improvement initiatives
Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team consisting of four (4) Production Manager, two (2) Shift Managers, two (2) Reliability Leaders, twelve (12) Production Supervisors, as well as indirectly managing ~500 hourly associates covering three shifts that operate 24/7 during peak demand season
Promote and direct TPM, DDS (Daily Direction Setting), and all WHQ and Plant initiatives and activities.
Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, health, and environmental regulations
Manage budgets and forecast production needs
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with overall company objectives
Monitor and analyze operations metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
What You Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, specifically in the food/beverage production or CPG industry
3 years of Operations Manager or Assistant Plant Manager experience (having production managers as direct reports), plus experience overseeing a workforce of 200+ employees
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and leading teams to achieve production goals
A solid understanding of food processing and sanitation
Strong demonstrated results using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Experience with quality management systems
Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong interpersonal and people skills
