What You Will Be Doing
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans to meet production goals
- Enhance operational efficiency and product quality through continuous improvement initiatives
- Reporting to the Director of Manufacturing, you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team consisting of four (4) Production Manager, two (2) Shift Managers, two (2) Reliability Leaders, twelve (12) Production Supervisors, as well as indirectly managing ~500 hourly associates covering three shifts that operate 24/7 during peak demand season
- Promote and direct TPM, DDS (Daily Direction Setting), and all WHQ and Plant initiatives and activities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, health, and environmental regulations
- Manage budgets and forecast production needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operations with overall company objectives
- Monitor and analyze operations metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
What You Must Have
- Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, specifically in the food/beverage production or CPG industry
- 3 years of Operations Manager or Assistant Plant Manager experience (having production managers as direct reports), plus experience overseeing a workforce of 200+ employees
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
- Proven track record of improving operational efficiency and leading teams to achieve production goals
- A solid understanding of food processing and sanitation
- Strong demonstrated results using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience with quality management systems
- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong interpersonal and people skills
