Gabriele & Company: recruiters for Manufacturing and Supply Chain is a boutique firm exclusively dedicated to placing top-tier manufacturing and supply chain professionals in direct hire positions. We are working with a Billerica, MA area manufacturer of electronics including PCB assemblies, cable assemblies, box builds, and rework services that is seeking a Materials Manager.
The successful Supply Chain professional will:
Oversee and supervise a small team of buyers, maintain all critical data pertaining to materials pricing and cost, manage inventory including aging, excess, obsolete and inactive material.
Negotiates programs to achieve the best price position for company.
Ensures that all required material is on site, on time to achieve the order commitments.
Responsible for the MRP system.
Works with Sales and Program Management stake holders to ensure critical needs of customers are met.
Creates Material Shortages report and other related reports tied to Materials management.
Supports relationships with distribution to achieve optimal pricing, lead time and support.
Required Skills/Abilities:
10+ years of experience working in Electronic Manufacturing Services environment.
Previous oversight of Materials functions for an EMS company
Proven well established connections with local distribution channels
MRP/ERP implementation/Super User/ training experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
