Gabriele & Company, recruiters for manufacturing and supply chain professionals, is working with a local company experiencing strong and sustainable growth. In addition to expanding operations at its main location, our client also opened a second and third manufacturing location to keep up with demand for its products.
This growth demands the addition of an experienced Sr. Process Engineer to interact daily on the floor and develop best practices to improve and streamline the manufacturing processes. In this position you will serve as the SME for new manufacturing equipment and technologies to reduce costs and improve efficiencies.
Snapshot of Duties:
Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes
Develop new manufacturing and inspection processes for machining, welding and/or electromechanical assembly
Improve and develop fixtures and tooling, routings, work instructions, etc.
Eliminate root cause of quality defects created by existing processes
Provide recommendations for improved plant layout
Identify new manufacturing equipment and technologies to reduce costs and increase efficiencies
Provide NPI project support to Program Managers and Project Engineers
Requirements:
BS in Engineering discipline
5+ years of process/manufacturing engineering experience
Experience in aerospace/defense
Prior experience working in a job shop/ made to order environment preferred
Experience developing/improving processes for machining, welding and/or electromechanical assembly
Proven experience developing manufacturing processes and tooling
Able to develop engineering standards to streamline engineering tasks
Able to interpret engineering drawings; GD&T knowledge
SolidWorks required; ERP/MRP
US Citizen; able to obtain Security Clearance
