Job Description:

Hannah Savage with Robert Half is seeking an experienced and professional Purchasing Manager to join her clients team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of procurement experience in construction, with a proven ability to manage purchasing activities effectively while collaborating seamlessly with our teams. Supervisory experience not required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the procurement process for all construction-related materials, equipment, and services
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive rates and reliable delivery
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other departments to align procurement with project needs
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience within the construction industry
  • Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost-efficiency and value
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor with a flexible, easy-going attitude
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
