Hannah Savage with Robert Half is seeking an experienced and professional Purchasing Manager to join her clients team in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of procurement experience in construction, with a proven ability to manage purchasing activities effectively while collaborating seamlessly with our teams. Supervisory experience not required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the procurement process for all construction-related materials, equipment, and services
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to ensure competitive rates and reliable delivery
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other departments to align procurement with project needs
Monitor and analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities
Ensure compliance with all purchasing policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience within the construction industry
Strong negotiation skills with a focus on cost-efficiency and value
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
