Job Description:

Summary:

This role of the Business Analyst at our organization is to review business processes in order to gain a complete understanding of current procedures, identify improvements, write requirements for these improvements, document them, and connect business partners to information technology groups within the organization.

This resource will use their proven business analysis skills to examine primary functions in HR, Finance, Travel, and other departments to look for opportunities for business transformation and process automation. In addition to strong BA skills, this resource will also need to have a working knowledge of how to implement new and complete solutions within mainstream solutions such as Salesforce or ServiceNow.

This position will require continually utilizing skills relating to teamwork, intra-inter department relationship building, and a strong inter-personal acumen.

Core Responsibilities:
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each responsibility satisfactorily. Become an embedded part of the ongoing project to optimize departments' business process.
  • Engage business partners, gather requirements, design the future state solution, the development objects related to their process scope, as well as supporting testing and post implementation support.
  • Write clear and comprehensive requirements (Agile and waterfall).
  • Partner with technical teams in developing solutions that address the people, process, and technology needs of the organization.
  • Focus on user change management, ensuring that newly optimized processes and systems can be successfully integrated.
  • Act as a natural project manager - know how to balance priorities and influence through collaboration while creating a shared sense of direction and community among teams.

Education and Experience:

Education:
  • Bachelor Degree, preferred. A combination of industry certifications and professional experience can be taken into consideration in lieu of a degree.
  • Salesforce, ServiceNOW, or similar CRM system certification, preferred.
  • Full understanding of business analysis best practices throughout the systems development lifecycle (e.g. BABOK - Business Analysis Book of Knowledge).

Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience serving in a business analysis role.
  • Familiarity with basic concepts and best practices of business analytics - the metrics that drive management decisions with the ability to build reports and queries to support such metrics.
  • Experience working with design, implementation, and support of knowledge management solutions and related technologies for collaborative information sharing.
  • Experience with gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development.
  • Ideal candidate is a dedicated business analyst who solicits and writes requirements, using agile and waterfall methodology - Experience working with the end user.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and flowcharting software.
  • Experience with Salesforce, ServiceNOW, or similar CRM system, preferred.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills with the ability to provide clear, accurate, and attractive presentation of data to individuals and to groups of internal customers and business partners.
  • An understanding that one of the most important skills is the ability to listen; to understand multiple points of view and formulate the best course of action while remaining a strong voice and change agent.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, prioritize tasks, establish effective working relationships with internal and external business partners.
  • Strong problem-solving/analytical skills.
  • Structured approach to business process solutions development (measuring, monitoring, and testing) and a deep understanding of operational management.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Hourly contract rate range of $55.00 to $62.00 based on experience and qualifications, as well as geographical market and business considerations.
