Job Description:

  • Manage all aspects of the program over the entire project life cycle (Initiate, Plan, Execute, Monitor, Control, and Close).
  • Must be familiar with the entire project scope and objectives for each project under the program umbrella, as well as the role and function of each team member to effectively coordinate the activities.
  • Responsible for assuming the appropriate project team is engaged, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Interfaces with all areas of project including end users, distributors, and vendors.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews final project deliverables.
  • May communicate with a company executive or business unit leader regarding status of projects.
  • Must have working knowledge of all aspects for financial workbooks tracking projects including Gross Margin, Operating Profit, Backlog, Sales General and Admin calculations.
  • Understanding of how to correct broken formulas in Excel, create new formulas in Excel, and understanding the reporting side of the business from an executive perspective.
  • Moderate experience with ERP Systems including knowledge of how to run reports on project tracking and management purposes and to be able to ensure integrity on the information presented.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline, a degree in Business Administration/Management will be considered with experience in technical design and execution on complex custom equipment.
  • 5+ years of experience in high technology or advanced capital equipment design, build and installation including scheduling, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and quality.
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management within a manufacturing environment, PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience in the management and control/development of budgets scope of work, personnel, scheduling, and material resources in complex organizational environments required.
  • Excellent documentation ability to ensure all details are understood and agreed upon by project management, contractors, vendors, internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and project champions.
  • Strong presentation development skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 17025.
  • Experience supervising technical professionals including Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Staff Engineers as well as manufacturing professionals daily.
  • Ability to travel 20%.
