Paving Project Manager Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Paving Project Manager to oversee roadway and bridge construction projects in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The ideal candidate will have extensive project management experience on FDOT projects, as well as a deep understanding of asphalt paving, heavy civil construction, and roadwork.
Key Responsibilities
Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules
Oversee bid processes, subcontractor selection, and project bidding
Organize and manage job site personnel, subcontractors, and vendors
Ensure compliance with FDOT regulations, specs, and standards
Monitor project progress and identify issues or opportunities for improvement
Resolve conflicts and address any safety concerns
Communicate with project stakeholders regarding project progress
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in project management
Proven experience on FDOT projects and with asphalt paving, heavy civil construction, and heavy highway projects
Strong knowledge of roadwork and bridge construction
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency with MS Office, project management software, and estimating software
