Reporting to the Director of Projects and Performance Improvement for Trust and Identity, the Project Manager will collaborate to support the development and design efforts of Trust and Identity services, such as InCommon Federation, eduroam and others..

Essential job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Direct, oversee and manage the deployment of medium to large size projects to ensure that goals and objectives are met, within established timeframes and budget.


  • Collaborate with management, business, and technical users to analyze project requirements & needs, develop implementation strategies and provide guidance and oversight throughout the project management life cycle.
  • Effectively manage project scope from a functional, schedule, legal and financial perspective.


  • Assist project team with completing project tasks where additional resources are needed, including writing and supporting business requirements.


  • Lead risk mitigation planning and proactively identifies, tracks, and resolves issues, risks and dependencies associated with projects.
  • Gather project performance data and support reporting and monitoring on projects, progress, resources, and risk.


  • Support change management activities and ensure proper documentation and communication of change requests to project teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in project management and leading multiple business or service related projects with varying levels of complexity.
  • Ability to work independently and drive multiple tasks/projects to completion simultaneously.
  • Proactive and collaborative communication style, with the ability to be direct, tactful, and transparent.
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service and public speaking skills (including technical and non- technical professionals).
  • Instinctive ability to resolve issues through creativity, diligence and diplomacy.
  • Knowledge of established Project Management methodology, processes, tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with Project Management tools such as Monday, Asana, Trello, and JIRA.
  • Ability to assess, manage, course correct and communicate project delivery schedules to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Community-building or partnership management experience.
  • Familiarity with ITIL, ITSM or CMM practices including service data/information management.
  • Competency in office productivity applications; ability to quickly learn new collaboration applications and/or tools
  • Proven ability and comfort working with virtual teams


Preferred Skills:
  • PMP, Lean, or other relevant certification
  • Experience with workflow diagramming and process improvement
  • Familiarity with agile, waterfall and other software development lifecycle frameworks
  • Familiarity with writing requirements, documenting workflow and other business process management activities


As a full-time employee, you will be eligible to participate in Internet2's employee benefits program effective on your start date in accordance with the terms and conditions of each plan. The program currently includes medical, dental, life, vision and disability insurances, a health spending account program, sick time, vacation time and a tax deferred retirement plan. The salary range for this position is $93,000 to $116,000 (B-7)
