Responsibilities:
  • Use SolidWorks to design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Demonstrate hands-on capability in fabrication techniques machining, sheet metal, welding, and additive manufacturing (AM).
  • Travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer sites to showcase products and provide technical support.
  • Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for all designs.
  • Design for manufacturing and serviceability to ensure efficient production and maintenance.
  • Apply mechanical troubleshooting skills for repair and improvement of existing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Assist in business development by contributing to proposal writing.
  • Lead product commercialization efforts, ensuring successful transition from design to production while meeting quality, cost, and timeline targets.
  • Draft user and service manuals to facilitate efficient and effective use of our products.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and partners.
  • Coordinate with 3rd party machining and AM shops

Requirements: Bachelor's
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3 plus years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and schematic design.
  • Strong fabrication skills.
  • Excellent aesthetic sense with an eye for detail.
  • Experience or interest in robotics and additive manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel to shows and customer sites as required.
  • Familiarity with BOM creation and maintenance.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturing principles.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
