Responsibilities:
Use SolidWorks to design and develop mechanical components and assemblies.
Demonstrate hands-on capability in fabrication techniques machining, sheet metal, welding, and additive manufacturing (AM).
Travel to trade shows, conferences, and customer sites to showcase products and provide technical support.
Create and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) for all designs.
Design for manufacturing and serviceability to ensure efficient production and maintenance.
Apply mechanical troubleshooting skills for repair and improvement of existing systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
Assist in business development by contributing to proposal writing.
Lead product commercialization efforts, ensuring successful transition from design to production while meeting quality, cost, and timeline targets.
Draft user and service manuals to facilitate efficient and effective use of our products.
Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and partners.
Coordinate with 3rd party machining and AM shops
Requirements: Bachelor's
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
3 plus years relevant experience.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and schematic design.
Strong fabrication skills.
Excellent aesthetic sense with an eye for detail.
Experience or interest in robotics and additive manufacturing.
Ability to travel to shows and customer sites as required.
Familiarity with BOM creation and maintenance.
Strong understanding of design for manufacturing principles.
Mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience is a plus.
