As a Director, Cloud Quality Engineering you will lead the Cloud functional, automation, performance, and integration testing teams. You will manage a team of skilled engineers validating services that support our medical devices, mobile applications, partner integrations, and data analytics. You will partner with teams, both local and abroad, to build world class medical device software. You should have experience governing test execution, leading multiple subordinate teams , managing priorities, and allocati ng resources to achieve Insulet business goals .

Responsibilities:

• Govern test execution and communicate across multiple levels of the organization

• Identify improvement opportunities in the Cloud software validation process and lead team in developing solutions to address them

• Develop and drive a clear strategic roadmap of initiatives that improve the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of end-to-end release delivery and validation

• Identify , present, and implement strategies that address future needs for automation and performance testing to ensure Insulet's future product roadmap is supported

• Drive the function, automation, and performance team s to deliver capabilities to track and provid e metrics on the quality and performance of Cloud software

• Lead test planning, design, automation, execution , and reporting to ensure delivered products meet Insulet software standards

• Collaborate with product management, development , systems analysts, and project management to testing efforts align with project goals and objectives

• Lead and manage a large team of engineers, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities.

• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.

• Manage and prioritize the budget, resources, and timelines to ensure successful team execution.

• Drive the team to meet critical Quality, Regulatory, and Manufacturing requirements across all deliverables

Education and Experience:

• Requires a BS degree and 10 + years' experience leading software quality assurance organizations , preferably in Cloud software and/ or Medical Device software

Required Skills and Competencies :

• Demonstrated success in driving improvements in Cloud automation and performance testing

• Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and architectural patterns to provide optimal testing strategies

• Strong understanding of Cloud architectural patterns and design

• Strong verbal and written communication tools, able to communicate at multiple levels of an organization.

• A passionate, inspirational leader who leads with an enterprise mindset, challenges the status quo, and can align their organization behind a clear vision and strategy.

• Has strong emotional intelligence and ability to engage and lead others through change to advance new ways of working.

• Experience building high performance teams, driving accountability, empowerment, customer centricity and collaboration across functions and teams.

• Experience leading Agile software testing

• Experience testing distributing architectures and data streaming/processing

• Experience testing AWS solutions, e.g. ECS, Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, KMS

• Demonstrated experience with FDA and data privacy regulations a plus

Physical Requirements (if applicable) :

• It is expected that you are able to travel to Insulet's San Diego (CA), Acton (MA) or Tijuana (MX) offices at least twice per quarter to support critical planning and executive coordination activities.

• Off-hour availability for critical issues

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $177,320.00 - $266,420.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
