The Energy Market Analyst will focus on production cost modeling activities, integrated resource planning, and have general knowledge of US power markets. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable of the utility space and have an advanced academic background.
The Energy Market Analyst will be responsible for:
Financial and strategic analysis
Scenario modeling and analysis
Running production cost models
Reviewing load forecasts
The Energy Market Analyst should have the following qualifications:
B.S. in Electrical Engineering is highly preferred
2+ years' experience in production cost modeling and capacity expansion
Experience with PLEXOS preferred; PROMOD, Aurora, Dayzer, EnCompass, or similar tools will be considered
Assist in regulatory filings and IRPs
Knowledge power markets in the US (analyzing and modeling)
