CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Lead

The Manufacturing Process Engineer - IT Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes and systems, with a focus on integrating IT solutions to enhance efficiency and quality. This role involves leading process improvement initiatives, managing IT infrastructure related to manufacturing, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process Design and Optimization:
  • Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Design and implement new processes, tools, and methodologies to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
  • Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for simulation and process design.

IT Integration:
  • Develop and maintain IT systems that support manufacturing operations.
  • Implement process control techniques and procedures using IT solutions.
  • Ensure seamless integration of IT systems with manufacturing equipment.

Project Management:
  • Lead and coordinate process improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

Quality Control:
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product consistency.
  • Conduct tests and evaluations on product designs and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain detailed records of quality metrics and process changes.

Training and Support:
  • Train staff on new processes and IT systems.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for manufacturing IT systems.
  • Develop training materials and documentation.

Compliance and Safety:
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot any issues related to processes, procedures, and operations.
  • Prepare reports and present results to management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in IT, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies are highly desirable.

Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing process engineering.
  • Proven experience in integrating IT solutions within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the aerospace and defense industry is preferred.

Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and their application in manufacturing.
