A well-established site development contractor with over 50 years of experience is seeking a CorporateQuality Control Manager. This role will involve developing, presenting, and implementing a corporate quality control program to ensure all work meets contractual standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, present, and implement the corporate quality control program.
Inspect and spot-check projects in line with plans, specifications, and contract documents, reporting deficiencies and escalating issues to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
Ensure subcontractors understand project quality control requirements for new projects.
Manage the company's rework tracking program, ensuring consistent reporting and program compliance.
Support project teams with the three-phase inspection program, including preparatory meetings, initial inspections, follow-up, and final inspections.
Lead and document quality control meetings with project teams and/or customers, providing written minutes.
Oversee company QC training efforts.
Perform routine quality control functions on assigned projects, including daily quality control reports and other contractually required functions.
Audit and verify documentation for all materials and equipment received for projects.
Ensure all required code and independent inspections are completed and properly documented.
Review project as-built drawings for accuracy and adherence to contract requirements.
Communicate and collaborate professionally with construction staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers.
Develop project-specific quality control plans as needed.
Participate in the hiring process for future QC team members.
Represent the company at projects and regional industry events as required.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, construction science, engineering, or a related field from an accredited university preferred.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Current OSHA 30; First Aid/CPR; and USACE Construction Quality Control Management certifications, or ability to obtain them within 30 days of hire.
Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact professionally with customers, coworkers, and subcontractors.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Familiarity with USACE RMS CM and EM-385-1-1.
A strong commitment to safety.
Ability to meet all contract security and citizenship requirements.
Minimum of 10 years of experience with companies of similar or larger size and scope, with at least five years in a QC role.
Strong interpersonal skills, both oral and written.
