Our client is an organization in the Madison area looking for a Controller. This company is looking for someone with 4+ years of experience, job costing experience, and a self-starter.This company offers growth opportunities, variety in your day-to-day, and a hybrid work environment.
The Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee all aspects of company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.
Manage cash flow and treasury functions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and analyze results to provide insights
Lead the annual budgeting processing, working with department leads.
Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
Prepare financial forecasts and update them regularly.
Manage and mentor the accounting and finance team, providing guidance and support for professional development.
Perform company payroll.
Prepare annual 720, 1069, and 1099 forms.
Enter credit card and cash receipts and bank deposits daily.
Ad hoc projects as needed.
The Controller will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
4+ years of accounting experience.
Experience in construction accounting preferred.
CPA preferred.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
