Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects in healthcare, ensuring that the company remains competitive and profitable.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
Prepare accurate and timely cost estimates for commercial construction projects
Assist in preconstruction activities such as bid packages, instructions to bidders, and bid analysis
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely pricing
Review and analyze project scope of work, pricing, estimates, assumptions, and cost estimation
Submit competitive and timely bids to clients
Provide support during budgeting, post-bid, and project handoff phases
Demonstrate leadership and effective communication skills
Maintain up-to-date technical training on commercial construction estimating
Experience in estimating for hospitals, medical projects, and healthcare is a plus
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field
At least 5 years of experience in commercial healthcare construction estimating
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in On-Center Software On-Screen-Take-off and other related software
Experience in subcontractor outreach and buyout process
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong feedback and negotiation skills
