Position Overview The building automation technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the building automation systems that control and monitor the various mechanical and electrical systems within a building. They must have a thorough understanding of building automation technology and be able to work independently to ensure the system is functioning properly.
Key Responsibilities
Install and program building automation systems according to specifications and design plans
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building automation equipment and controls
Monitor and troubleshoot system performance to identify and resolve any issues
Update software and firmware as needed to ensure system functionality
Qualifications
Experience in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building automation systems
Strong understanding of HVAC and electrical systems
Experience with PLC, Controls, Distech, SCADA, and Ignition systems
Open to travel
