Role Description: The Process and Estimating Engineer will play a crucial role in estimating costs for project solutions, working closely with the Proposals Department Manager.
Responsibilities include:
Soliciting and evaluating quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
Performing detailed calculations in fields such as mechanics, electrical, and fluid mechanics.
Developing accurate proposals for customer submission.
Conducting quality control reviews to ensure estimates meet the defined scope.
Collaborating within a team of engineers and reporting to the Proposals Department Manager.
As the candidate advances in the role, potential additional duties may involve:
Analyzing technical specifications to create process flows.
Developing and validating piping, instrumentation, and process flow diagrams.
Preparing detailed estimates for projects ranging from $100,000 to $30 million.
Supporting project teams in transitioning from proposal to implementation.
Qualifications:
Essential qualifications include:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (mechanical, manufacturing process, civil, ceramic, etc.).
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with various departments and stakeholders.
A strong interest in manufacturing processes with a comprehensive project perspective.
Ability to meet deadlines in a task-oriented environment.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience with AutoCAD software.
Proficiency in French is highly desirable.
Additional Details: This on-site, direct hire opportunity is located in Lakewood, CO. It operates Monday through Friday, with up to 10% travel initially, which may expand over time. The role offers significant growth potential within the company.
Salary: Offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $95,000, based on the candidate's experience.
