Compensation, Benefits & HRIS Analyst


The Compensation and Benefits Analyst contribute to the Company's strategic initiatives by providing support and inputs into the development and maintenance of Tropicale's total rewards programs. Your actions will be to positively impact lives leveraging selfless excellence and teamwork. Collaboration with People Operations, Finance and Accounting and having a bit of fun along with way is how we work. Reporting to the VP, Human Resources.



Key Performance Areas:



Compensation




  • Provide detailed analytical support to the HR Leadership, including research, ad hoc analysis of data and reporting, tracking metrics and recommendations.

  • Performs analysis on compensation, reports on findings and makes recommendations. Interface with the People Ops team as needed to ensure timely delivery of compensation program elements

  • Analyze organizational pay practices and make recommendations for salary changes as needed to ensure internal equity is maintained. Conduct job analysis as needed to determine appropriate job level according to compensation guidelines and policy.

  • Support Total Rewards and People Operations projects as we continue to grow and scale the organization. Independently manage complex and confidential tasks, initiatives, and projects that arise, while assuming ownership transferred/escalated from internal and external business partners.

  • Manage the development, review, and updates to Total Rewards policies and program documentation. Partner with People Ops to identify process improvement opportunities and efficiency gains.

  • Conduct audits of our compensation and benefits programs ensuring compliance with contracts and or service agreements. Provide ad hoc analytics support to key stakeholders on an as-needed basis.

  • Submit market surveys as needed, revising job matches as required to respond to changing market conditions. Assist with compliance efforts and projects throughout the year such as implementation of new programs/vendors, the annual Open Enrollment cycle, ACA reporting, form 5500 filing, nondiscrimination testing and 401(k) annual audit.

Benefits


  • Proactively partner with HR management and benefits team on strategy development and execution.

  • Communicates retirement plan information, answers employee questions, and oversees 401(k) administration.

  • Regularly review and reconcile the company's health and welfare benefits to ensure accurate billing and census data. Ensures retirement plans to meet ERISA regulations through analysis and audits.

  • Responsible for annual TIP Program, including but not limited to, eligibility determination, allocation calculation, distribution processing, maintenance of record keeping system.

  • Assist in managing other benefit programs, including: medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending accounts, COBRA and 401(k) programs.

  • Communicate benefit programs to employee-owners, conduct audits/reconciliations, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.

  • Assist management in identifying opportunities for continual improvement in benefit programs and barriers to change that limit the success of benefit programs.

  • Performs benefits billing, invoicing, and eligibility audits and participates in implementing benefit plan and process changes.

  • Assist in overseeing vendor performance in relation to established customer service measures and ensuring vendor performance is aligned with company expectations.

  • Gain general knowledge of insurance plan offerings as well as human resource policies.


Nice to have:

Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or working toward such certification preferred. Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or working toward such certification preferred.



Job Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of work experience in compensation, benefits and HRIS (ADP Workforce Now), preferably with high growth organizations.

  • Experience in conducting market analyses and benchmarking.

  • Project coordination skills with experience in supporting the execution of initiatives as required.

  • Highly collaborative with the ability to work independently, while bringing a sense of urgency, process-orientation, and attention to detail.

  • Excellent research and quantitative business skills highly preferred.

  • Proven experience working in a complex matrixed environment.

  • Advanced experience with MS Office applications, such as excel, word, and Access.

  • Knowledge of Google Applications and the integration between MS and Google Apps.

  • Experience with HRIS systems and reporting tools.
