IT Support Specialist at Deployed Services, LLC in Greensboro, North Carolina

Job Description:

The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for fielding requests for assistance with various computer and mobile systems, software applications, or other technical issues. Responds to queries, runs diagnostics, isolates problems, and implements solutions. This includes the ongoing support to users after they’ve been helped either by answering follow-up questions or helping them learn how to use the system on their own.


Essential Functions:



  • Utilize a ticket management system to record, update and resolve tickets from individuals seeking support

  • Support end-users with IT-related problems in a responsive and service-oriented manner

  • Setup, manage, and maintain IT-related equipment

  • Monitor backup jobs and ensure a high level of completion success rate

  • Manage time and projects effectively

  • Help put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment

  • Train staff with IT related equipment

  • Assist with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems

  • Monitor performance levels of software and hardware

  • Maintain information architectures (data, application, and network) ensuring the system is online

  • Maintain hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operation

  • Research capabilities, best practices, and business solutions to make recommendations back to our partners to keep the company advancing forward

  • Identify opportunities and put forward ideas to support cost effectiveness

  • Wipe & reset electronics that have not yet met lifecycle requirements for reissue

  • Assist individuals with lifecycle replacements

  • Other duties as assigned


Knowledge and Skills:



  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Share Point and other software

  • Ticketing System experience (ManageEngine is a plus)

  • Experience in learning and implementing new systems

  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and issues according to the business impact

  • Good time management skills

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

  • Ability to work autonomously and within team

  • Flexible and proactive with a "will do' attitude

  • Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365


 Education and Experience:



  • Bachelor’s degree in management information systems or related degree

  • Note: Relevant professional-level work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree

  • 1-2 years in IT or Business Systems

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

  • Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS)  

  • Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and background check after accepting a conditional offer of employment

Pay: Up to $28.57 hourly
