Fluids/Structures Technician III - B




Merritt Island, FL




Contract Position




Responsibilities:

• 
  Manufacture, assemble, and test custom machine hardware following written procedures, engineering models, work orders, and specifications.


• 
  Set up production areas, including tooling and equipment, while ensuring compliance with safety standards.


• Perform hardware inspections, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to maintain high standards of quality and performance.


• 
  Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and aerial lifts, and work with precision tools like micrometers, calipers, and laser trackers.


• Identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety and efficiency.


• 
  Support routine maintenance and 5S practices by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: High School diploma or GED, or equivalent experience.


• 
  Experience: 5+ years in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or large/complex assembly manufacturing.


• 
  Skills:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering models, drawings, specifications, and P&IDs.
  
  
  • Experience with heavy lifting equipment (cranes, forklifts) and common assembly tools.
  
  
  • Ability to climb ladders, work in restricted areas, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Technical: Strong understanding of technical data communication and tools (MS Office, Confluence).


• 
  Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or legally admitted under refugee/asylum status.


• 
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Industry certification, trade school training, or a degree in a related field.
  
  
  • Experience in assembling large, tight-tolerance structures and handling expensive components.
  
  
  • Familiarity with laser tracker operations and new product introduction.
  
  
  • Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment, with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma certification.
