Manufacturing Engineer II




Merritt Island, FL




Contract Position




Manufacturing Engineer job in Merritt Island, Florida is available with Moseley Technical Services top Space company. In this job you will fully contribute to the build of one of the biggest rockets the word has seen while leading operations improvement - ergonomic & human factor, operations plans, recovery planning, capacity planning and capital planning.



Responsibilities:

• 
  Lead manufacturing projects focused on operations improvements, ergonomics, human factors, recovery, capacity, and capital planning.


• Provide production support through scheduling, budget forecasting, crew empowerment, and defect analysis.


• 
  Identify and prioritize process improvements using Lean manufacturing, root cause analysis, Six Sigma, and statistical methods.


• Facilitate system integration through Value Stream Analysis, facility layouts, and production systems design.


• Conduct time-motion studies, analyze labor requirements, and improve operational efficiency.


• 
  Manage data collection, input, and organization for performance tracking and reporting.


• Perform data analysis to support troubleshooting, problem solving, and continuous improvement initiatives.


• Participate in EHS responsibilities by following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Operations Research, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering.


• 
  Experience: 4+ years in a manufacturing production environment.


• 
  Skills:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in factory flow, process modeling, and simulations.
  
  
  • Experience in continuous improvement and value stream mapping.
  
  
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel and data mining proficiency.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Clearance: Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident (Green Card holder), or legally admitted refugee/asylee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degrees in Operations Management, Construction Management, MSE, or MBA.


• Experience in manned space flight production.


• Project Management Certification (PMP) or Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.


• Hands-on experience with materials and manufacturing processes.
