This position ensures processes and systems to maintain Cabinetworks Group's world class product line standards and customer expectations across the value chain. To this end the use of quality metrics to define, measure, analyze and implement processes. In a way to constantly monitor and improve process capability, process control plans, and process audits using the Cabinetworks Operating System (COS) concepts and techniques for problem solving and continuous improvement implementation opportunities.
This position is onsite in Livonia, MI Corporate HQ from Monday-Thursday with the option to work remotely on Fridays.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Monitor and analyze quality management system performance across Cabinetworks Group value chain
Provides training to employees on aspects of the Quality Management System (QMS) that are relevant to their role
Development of systems to meet specifications and standards (customer and 3rd party) relating to activities and products.
Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to evaluate current processes and process changes
Identify and implement effective quality control systems in the area of corrective and preventative action (CAPA) and non-conformances at the network sites to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements
Oversee the manufacture of products through product and process audits to ensure that quality documentation and standards are consistent with Cabinetworks Operating System (COS)
Establish and implement necessary communication to deliver improvement and awareness of quality issues across the value chain
Liaise with Cabinetworks Corporate Quality on quality management system and standards bodies (e.g. Government Departments, HSE, etc).
Implement changes in standards (internally) and performance against standards.
Develop and implement agreed to targets within policies and standards in conjunction with the Senior Quality Assurance Manager
Proactively investigate, identify, and implement best-in-class Quality practices
Act as a mentor of Six Sigma
Additional duties and responsibilities as requested by the Senior Quality Assurance Manager
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Bachelor degree in engineering, quality management, business, or related field
Minimum 5 years' experience working in engineering, quality, new product development, manufacturing or regulatory
Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally, up to 50%
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize and manage time;
Experience in Quality System, Six Sigma Methodology, Validation, FMEA/Risk Management
Advanced understanding of Design Control, Risk Management, & Project Management,
Ability to coordinate multi-cultural team and to manage and prioritize multiple activities with varying business, compliance and customer drivers
The ability to compute statistical data and communicate complex statistical information to all levels of leadership
Product Auditing -Sample Auditing AQL.
Product knowledge.
Understanding of quality tools (pareto charts, histograms, flow charts, etc.)
Experience with APQP/QFD
Computer literacy including strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
Six Sigma Green Belt.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
10 years in the Quality Field.
Align quality to customer and business value proposition
ASQ Certification: CQE, CQM, CQA, CQT, CRE.
Knowledge of Quality Systems (ISO-9001, ISO-14001, QS9000)
