We have partnered with an exciting UAV manufacturer based outside of DC. Having recently won an exciting project they're looking for a number of experienced engineers.
Role & Responsibilities:
Develops flight simulations, analyzing flight data for optimisation of flight performance.
Develop aircraft models that support 6DOF simulations.
Analyzing ground/flight data for performance validation.
Identify design modifications to increase aircraft performance.
Aerodynamic analysis for aircraft performance using CFD or linear analysis.
Conceptual sizing & trade studies, wind tunnel testing, and test analysis.
Skills & Experience:
Degree in Aerospace engineering or related.
Experienced with MATLAB/ Simulink/ AVL/ ArduPilot.
Proficient in C/C++/Lua.
10+ years experience, at least 5 working on flight simulations.
Competence in developing "clean sheet" Aerodynamic designs.
