Summary of Position:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Showroom Consultant/Events Coordinator. This key dual role is a full-time position and involves planning, organizing, and executing events as well as working day to day with business partners and end-users in our showroom in the Milford, Massachusetts. Excellent multitasking and communication skills are vital in this role. ("Events" vary in size and scope; they range from 3 to 200 people.)
Essential Job Functions:
Showroom Consultant:
Provide an educational consultation of our brands for our clients
Work with customers coming into the showroom to educate on high end appliance solutions
May be responsible for opening and closing the showroom
Work with marketing and sales to provide feedback on trends, consumer insights and showroom needs
Responsible for upholding showroom and customer standards at a high level to make impression of showroom modern and desirable
Events Coordinator
Manage all aspects of events including event logistics and room setup.
Schedule showroom spaces by considering business priorities and needs
Liaise with vendors and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order.
Coordinate catering needs with culinary team and/or caterers
Skills and Competencies
Demonstrated ability to coordinate successful events and to work with Showroom team
Must be passionate, committed to excellence, driven to make showroom and company succeed
Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Demonstrated pride in look and feel of the facility
Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
High degree of energy and self-motivation
Must be good with people, collaborative, and have a good sense of humor
Experience in sales and management of high-end retail products
Proven track record in consultative sales. Ability to grasp and understand technical specifications of product.
Flexible Schedule: Saturdays required and some evenings for events; ability to work occasionally in our other showrooms in Boston and South Norwalk, CT.
Physical ability to stand and walk for numerous hours and lift up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Education and Experience
Must have experience in high end restaurant, hotel or hospitality, education, event planning and/or luxury retail industry
Prior experience in sales desirable
Stable career track record and desire to move into a long-term career role
Job Hours
Tuesday - Friday: 9am - 5pm
Saturdays: 10am - 4pm
