EVONA has partnered with an exceptional company who are at the forefront of cutting edge space tech! You would be joining an existing team of Thermal Engineers where you'll own subsystems from defining requirements through to manufacturing and testing.
Responsibilities
Own the thermal systems of spacecraft components, from design and analysis through to verification and testing
Define & justify thermal architecture requirements, conduct trade space analysis, create spreadsheet/MATLAB/Python first order models, and document decision processes
Create and manage thermal FEA models along with detailed component level design
Validate architecture and modeling via testing in a simulated lunar environment (TVAC)
Interface with adjacent teams to cohesively integrate hardware with supporting subsystems
Required Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related field
5+ years of experience designing thermal control systems
5+ years of experience using engineering simulation software
Experience with CAD and detailed engineering calculations/analysis
A desire to make humans a multi-planet species
Preferred Qualifications
Post-graduate degree in a technical field
10+ years of experience in design of thermal control systems for space applications
Experience with industry standard thermal analysis software (Thermal Desktop, or similar)
A strong desire to make humans a multi-planet species
